What are publications

The publications module of Struct PIM allows building autogenerated PDF's based on predefined templates in the system or XML exports of product data InDesign productions.

Types of publications

Overall, 2 types of publications can be made in Struct PIM - PDF and XML.

  • PDF publications are used for autogenerating PDF per product, for example a product sheet or a Multi page with frontpage, backside, index pages for a range of products.

  • XML publications are used for autogenerating XML files with product data and asset references that can be imported to InDesign to aid the production of catalogues in InDesign
