Global lists

Global lists are predefined lists of entities, which can be referenced on products, variants and categories

Creating a global list

To create a global list, right click the Global lists node in the navigation tree and select Create global list. Enter a unique alias for your global list as well as a name and press Configure underneath the Template headline.

This will open an attribute configuration dialog, and you now have to define the entity that is your global list, using StructPIM attributes. If the global list you are building should contain multiple values (fx brandname and logo), create a complex attribute with sub attributes corresponding to the values you want to be able to enter for each item in the global list.

In most cases you should use a Complex attribute even though your global list entities shall only contain a single value, as it makes it easier to expand the attribute to conatin more information at a later stage.

Once you have defined your attribute for your global list, save it, and you are now ready to start creating entities in your new global list
