# Global lists

You can add or update global lists through [Settings](/reference/settings.md) > [Data models](/reference/settings/data-models.md) > [Global lists](/reference/settings/data-models/global-lists.md).

### View global lists

Global lists are shown directly in the global lists page.

### Find global list

1. Click column header for Alias or Backoffice name
2. Type value to search for

### Add a new global list

1. Click "+ Create global list"
2. Set Backoffice name and Alias along with additional [details](/reference/settings/data-models/global-lists/global-list-details.md)
3. Click "Save"

Best practice: It is advised to always create global lists with complex data type and subattributes, even if the global list only contains one attribute. This way you can always add additional subattributes in the future if necessary.

### Edit global list

1. Click "Edit"-icon
2. Modify the [global list details](/reference/settings/data-models/global-lists/global-list-details.md)
3. Click "Save"

### Delete global list

1. Click "Delete"-icon
2. Confirm deletion

### Bulk delete global lists

1. Select global lists you want to delete
2. Click "Delete global lists"-icon
3. Confirm deletion

### Swap to grid view

Click "Grid"-icon or use the keyboard shortcut ctrl+shift+g

### Swap to table view

Click "Table"-icon or use the keyboard shortcut ctrl+shift+h

### Manage columns

1. Click "Manage columns"-icon or use the keyboard shortcut ctrl+shift+c
2. Manage columns
3. Click "Update columns"
