# Asset types

You can manage attributes through [Settings](/reference/settings.md) > [Data models](/reference/settings/data-models.md) > [Asset types](/reference/settings/data-models/asset-types.md).

### View asset types

Asset types are shown directly in the asset types page.

### Find asset types

1. Click column header for Alias
2. Type value to search for

### Add a new asset type

1. Click "+ Create asset type"
2. Set Name along with additional [settings](/reference/settings/data-models/asset-types/general-settings.md)
3. Click "Next"
4. Set up an asset [data model](broken://pages/TG7QLLlMQ0kpcnfNvbYn)
5. Click "Save"

### Edit asset type

1. Click "Edit"-icon
2. Modify [General settings](/reference/settings/data-models/asset-types/general-settings.md) and/or [Data model](broken://pages/TG7QLLlMQ0kpcnfNvbYn)
3. Click "Save"

### Delete asset type

1. Click "Delete"-icon
2. Confirm deletion

### Bulk delete asset types

1. Select the asset types you want to delete
2. Click "Delete"-icon
3. Confirm deletion

### Swap to grid view

Click "Grid"-icon or use the keyboard shortcut ctrl+shift+g

### Swap to table view

Click "Table"-icon or use the keyboard shortcut ctrl+shift+h

### Manage columns

1. Click "Manage columns"-icon or use the keyboard shortcut ctrl+shift+c
2. Manage columns
3. Click "Update columns"
